When it Rains, it Pours!
Right, remember I told you that I’m going to be super busy in the following weeks here during my vacation? Yes, it is indeed and I will be busy as my K student has just arrived here in Cebu just tonight. This means that tutorial arrangements are going to be followed and it’s gonna be everyday. I’m so happy to have such great communication with my previous K students. Thanks M for the recommendations. Imagine it’s been almost four years since I left that K school I worked with for a year. Really, establishing great raphor with people is of utmost importance. As what the old adage says that one should never burn bridges for one never knows when she’s gonna be coming back if she ever has to for once in her life. I don’t know if I made have put these words meaningfully. Smiles. Here, I can really attest that truly like rain blessings pour abundantly like rain showers on a lovely day.
Busier than Bees
This week and next’s would be quite busy for all of us here at school as we are nearly coming to close and as to formally welcome our summer holidays we are hosting a play for parents to watch. We are coming on Saturday to do more rehearsals and make the decorations for the upcoming long awaited performance. Some students may not come on that day so we agreed to have some supporting characters ready for whatever is missing on that day. Oh it’s gonna be my first directorial job here as an English teacher. I’m so excited just thinking of the real play on Wednesday next week. For now all I can do is imagine and leave it all to them on the day of our greatest performance of all time.
Looking Forward to be Qualified
When I get home very soon, I plan to get myself a certificate and I hope to get qualified with all its high standard requirements. If so then I’d be able to do my next ultimate goal and get myself up to the ladder of success. Oh it really reminds me of our discussion in class this morning. Smiles. I wrote on the board this: ‘Only people who earn a lot of money are successful.’ It really invited my students to discuss since I’m so blessed with these bright and interesting kids around me. I liked all their ideas and truly they enriched me with their different viewpoints about the measurement of success. We all have our varied ideas and differing opinions on the topic and it made us all appreciate the beauty of our differences as a multicultural classroom. I’d surely miss them since I won’t be with them next year. Well, going back to the excitement of being qualified. I hope to really get it since I’m planning to move to another country after my contract and that certificate would further back me up with my next goals.
I Gotta Be…
Carelessness is sometimes the root cause of remiss in life. I totally agree to this viewpoint since I myself had a terrible experience trusting the other person wholeheartedly when all of a sudden a very painful incident happened to me. I must not elaborate everything here but yeah it really happened when all the stories boomeranged to me as a total opposite unexpectedly. “I gotta be…”, I said to myself after what has happened to me. In life, the past is already a very important benchmark for the future. Yes, that must be. What I have is the NOW which will be a remembrance for the future for it would then become a very remarkable history for me to reminisce and hopefully with a phrase of optimism such as, “I did it!”, or “I made it!. After all, I’ve realized that what has been done, has been done and I’ve got nothing to do with it. What’s most important is the NOW that I’m having and holding in my hands. Nevertheless, looking forward with optimism must be a very good attitude towards the future but what for if one is just living the NOW wastefully and meaninglessly?
Deemed to Finish What has been Started
Once a thing has been started, it has to be maintained for it to work properly. This sounds very superficial to you but let me explain it clearly by giving you a concrete example. Here is a story to demonstrate my thoughts for today.
Once there was a lady who is dreaming of becoming very slim so she would be attractive and in that way she would get more suitors like her peers. She kept on listing everything down except dieting. Dieting! Eating a balanced diet, is what she must do, right? Instead, unbelievably, she binged her way up to obesity. She kept on binging a lot on food first and then escalated to her wants in life such as all the material things you can imagine for she was born in a golden spoon. So you can really imagine her life. Then one day, to cut the story short, she realized a very simple solution to her problems in life while she was walking down her favorite spot of her garden. She said, ‘In my life, I almost have everything, except one thing and that’s a …. aha! I’ve realized now what must I do to have my goals done and attain happiness.’ She said it with enthusiasm and determination. In her mind right at that moment she planned and written what she wanted and how she’d further attain it realistically. She then went and called her dietitian and told what she must do for her to trim down gradually until she became slimmer and slimmer. Each and every week she got herself into meaningful and productive activities. She enrolled herself into all the lessons such as yoga and even went into a gym in a schedule. She learned how to look at herself beautifully in the mirror each morning telling herself you CAN and WILL surely do it! of course, with a smile on her blooming young face. From then on, she learned to love herself more like others did most especially the man who was one of her yoga lessons instructors. ![]()
See? What has been started must be continued; not only literally but also steadfastly like the young lady’s determination and will to attain the goals she set for herself. Always remember that one cannot give what she has not.
Yepeyy! I’m so lucky! I’m so blessed!
“Yepeyy! I’m so lucky! I’m so blessed!”, my little brother, our youngest sibling exclaimed with enthusiasm and happiness. He is one of the students who will be having an On the Job Training with Lexmark. Gosh, it’s really an answered prayer. Thank you Lord for being so good. At least, he won’t be traveling very far for it’s just in the city. What’s more is that during his OJT, he promised to do everything with all his bests to do what’s needed to be done. Hope he would have a very nice and rewarding job there. More so, wishfully he can do more hands on and apply the knowledge that he has been learn in school. However, he admitted that he really hate to do just the paper works! Oh my, grins. But if it’s like that, there’s nothing else he can do, I think. Well, we can only hope it’s a combination of paper works and hands on. Gosh, I’m very excited for him as well!
